Personal Therapy
In times of change and uncertainty, having the right support can make all the difference.
Therapy offers a confidential space where you can explore challenges, make sense of your experiences and strengthen your wellbeing.
Integrative Psychotherapy
I am a Psychologist and Integrative Psychotherapist with more than twenty years experience working in mental health across the NHS, private practice and organisational settings. I offer therapy to adults and couples, as well as clinical supervision to trainees and qualified therapists.
My therapeutic approach is person-centred, collaborative and evidence-led. I aim to create a calm and supportive space where you can talk openly, be heard and reflect on what is happening in your life. I will listen carefully, offer perspective and ask thoughtful, sometimes gently challenging questions to help you understand yourself more clearly and create meaningful change.
Why People Come to Therapy
People seek therapy for many different reasons. Some want to make sense of difficult experiences, manage anxiety or low mood, improve relationships or build confidence. Others are looking for support with patterns that feel stuck, overwhelming or hard to name.
Clients I work with often seek help with:
- Anxiety, worry, panic or OCD
- Low self esteem and confidence
- Depression, emotional numbness or persistent low mood
- ADHD, autism and neurodiversity
- Burnout, stress, procrastination and perfectionism
- Trauma, bereavement, loss and past experiences affecting the present
- Addiction, compulsive behaviours and unhealthy coping patterns
- Anger, emotional regulation difficulties and impulsivity
- Relationship challenges, family difficulties and communication problems
- Intimacy, trust, jealousy and relational patterns
- Identity questions, life transitions and existential concerns
Whether you want support with a specific difficulty or space to understand yourself more deeply, therapy provides a confidential and collaborative environment to explore what matters to you
My Therapeutic Approach
Over the years I have trained in a wide range of evidence based therapeutic models, including:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills (DBT)
- Psychodynamic psychotherapy
- Schema and Narrative approaches
- Couples and relational therapy
- Contemporary Psychotherapy
- Eco Therapy and Nature Based approaches
- Trauma informed and neurodiversity affirming practice
My work is integrative and person centred. Rather than applying a single method, I draw on these approaches to shape sessions around your goals, values and needs. This may involve developing practical coping tools, exploring deeper patterns, shifting relational dynamics or rebuilding confidence and connection in your daily life.
How I Work
I offer therapy to individuals and couples online through Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Sessions are available Monday to Friday between 08.00 and 19.00 and can be arranged at a time that fits around your schedule.
At the beginning of therapy, we take time to understand your story, identify what brings you here and agree on goals that feel meaningful. These goals can change as our work develops. Therapy moves at your pace and there is space to reflect, explore emotions and consider new perspectives in a thoughtful and supportive way.
I aim to offer warmth, curiosity and gentle challenge. I will listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions and sometimes invite new perspectives to help you deepen self-awareness, gain clarity and move towards the life you want to live.
Session Fees
I offer therapy at the following rates. I also offer a small number of low-cost spaces, don’t hesitate to get in touch with me to discuss these if necessary.
1:1 Individual Psychotherapy – £70 per hour
Couples Therapy – £100 for 1 hour and £150 for 90minutes
Clinical Supervision – I currently offer a reduced rate of £60 per hour
Group Supervision & Reflective Practice – £150 per hour.
Clinical Supervision for Therapists
Alongside therapy, I offer clinical supervision to trainee and qualified therapists. My supervisory style is reflective, relational and grounded in contemporary integrative practice.
Supervision with me is a space to:
- Explore clinical material safely
- Reflect on your therapeutic process
- Strengthen your confidence and competence
- Deepen your awareness as a practitioner
- Think about ethics, boundaries and risk
- Integrate theory with practice
- Feel supported in the emotional impact of the work
I draw on frameworks such as the Cyclical Model, the Seven Eyed Model and integrative relational approaches. Supervision sessions are offered online and can be arranged monthly or fortnightly.
Recent Client Feeback
My therapy sessions with Hugo were a real help over the last few weeks to talk about events from my past and how they really shape me today. It was a good experience to have him as a therapist, following along a line of questioning and ideas for me to reach a conclusion and then evaluate that conclusion as well. But it was so much more than that technical process, it felt like an incredible safe space to share my emotions that I wouldn’t feel comfortable sharing with my friends or family.
Even though it has been a short time since my pause of therapy, I am still reminded daily of the things that I have learnt about myself and how I deal with my emotions during my time with Hugo. Truly a great help.
Hugo has been a great help over the last few weeks. It was my first time in therapy and I didn’t really know what to expect. I liked Hugo’s approach and he explained everything very clearly to me. He made me feel at ease and understood, giving helpful insights into the issues I was dealing with. I have felt a lot better after these few weeks and gained the tools to deal with life’s stresses and pressures. Thank you again Hugo.
